Notification on relaxation of Medical and Drug Screening for Day and Process Workers

The Department of Immigration is pleased to announce the following changes in the mandatory health screening of foreign workers employed as day workers and process workers. Effective immediately, these foreign workers shall be required to undergo only tuberculosis screening and drug testing. Further, the frequency of the tests has also been reduced to once a year.

Employers shall be required to provide evidence of both the tests during renewal of the work permits. The Department seeks your cooperation in this matter.
